Learning is the process of expanding perceivable possibilities. I love helping people learn to express themselves in new ways, be it through music or language (which, yes, really are the same thing—meaning created and derived through different combinations of sounds).

I am available to help hone your piano skills, support your vocal stylings, revive your well-groomed voice, write your own music, or just learn more about it—both its vexxingly simple building blocks and the experiences available through applying them in complex ways. I have a great love of musical theory (the grammar of music) as well as linguistic grammar (the theory of language), and it is always a delight to pass that interest on.

I teach French at Fluent City, where we focus on students' ability to begin speaking the language well. I approach music the same way. Though reading (and writing!) are important, music, like language, can be accessed, experienced, created and enjoyed without pencil and paper.

If you are interested in learning with me, please contact me and I will let you know my rates, answer any questions you have, and work with you to find a schedule that fits.
